历史沿革[edit]
1950年，墩文、余村、海山三处同属余村乡的支部；1958年改设大队；1960年墩文小公社成立，其下有海山、余村、墩文、埠头、调神、盐灶六处；1963年撤社，仍称墩文大队；1983年改管理区，1986年设村委会，1989年复为管理区，1999年重设村民委员会[1]。
红色遗迹[edit]
黄学增1922年春回到墩文村，在黄而杞家成立雷州青年同志社；黄氏宗祠后来是共青团雷州特别支部的活动地之一，现址在黄学增纪念小学内[3][4]。黄学增烈士纪念亭1962年建成，2019年列为广东省文物保护单位[5]。
荣誉[edit]
2018年墩文村被列入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，2021年1月，湛江市2020年度的文明村也有墩文村，2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇[1]。镇政府的介绍中提到，墩文村进入了第四批广东省文化和旅游特色村名单[2]。
