历史沿革[edit]
乐民乡成立于1950年；其后依次为初级社（1953年）、高级社（1955年）、乐民大队（1958年）、管理区（1983年）和村委会（1986年）；1989年再改管理区，1999年起称乐民村民委员会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
乐民所城是明洪武二十七年（1394年）建成的海防城堡，现为广东省文物保护单位，城内保存有文明书院和明代碑刻[3]。
荣誉[edit]
2022年9月，乐民村被认定为湛江市文明村；2023年5月，乐民村的乐民城村获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村称号[1]。乐民村委会还与企业合办了村里首家村企联营企业，经营花生油的生产与销售[2]。
