六坑村位于湛江市麻章区太平镇，是该镇下辖的行政村[1]。1958年立大队，1983年归入仙村乡，1987年撤乡改设管理区，1999年起设村民委员会；自然村有9个：上六、下六、乌塘及乌塘仔、恒泰、下店、谭宅，另有角塘南、角塘北两处，其中乌塘在2015年5月另设村民委员会[1]。博雅地名网把六坑村归为「镇乡结合区」[1]。
