村里以种水稻为主，稻田1674亩，出产的马蹄称王岗马蹄，镇政府把“兴篁马蹄”列为司前的特色农产品之一[1][2]。村里在2021年被列入广东省第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村，产品为优质稻；这一年还首次举办稻田丰收节，另有名为“稻花香里”的乡村旅游项目[1]。村内有20多家工业企业[1]。
文化[edit]
2022年，兴篁村获评省级“民主法治示范村”[1]。
