历史沿革[edit]
明成化二十二年（1486年），先民来此定居，起名林后。村名的由来，据社区所述，是创村时住户以林姓为主，村后又有成片树林。[1][2]
新中国成立初至1961年属潮阳县十一区的河浦镇和红旗达农公社，其后到1983年为河浦公社的五四大队。1994年河浦区设三个街道，撤销林后乡；1999年设林后村民委员会，2003年濠江区成立后设林后居委会，归滨海街道。[2]
经济与人口[edit]
社区有1803人、321户，党员47名，土地约3000亩，防风林占去一半。集体收入主要来自养鸭场、海边浴场和鱼池的租金，年纯收入约15万元；街道概况提到林后以家禽养殖为主。[1][3]
荣誉[edit]
林后在2026年1月被评为「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
