历史沿革[edit]
华里原名下底村，因地处溪流下游、地势低洼而得名，后与后山村合并，雅称华里。[1] 村中记述，始祖松岸公于1506年（明正德元年）携家眷从潮州仙田迁到海滩土堆“金丝垄”，以海水煮盐为生，从此立村；新中国成立后又有陈、林两姓迁入。[2][3]
1994年河浦区设立后，村归其下的街道管辖；1999年设村民委员会，2003年濠江区成立后设华里居委会，属滨海街道。[3]
经济[edit]
村里五百多年来以盐为业，生产方式由煮盐改为耙盐、再改为晒盐，公社时期整理为十八漏规格化水埕，曾被评为省、地区盐业先进单位，盐业一度占全村收入的七成，有“河浦经济第一村”之称。[2] 该社区自述总人口7128人，土地1221亩，其中水稻574亩、鱼池35亩；街道概况另记华里有350亩海水养殖。[2][4]
荣誉[edit]
华里在2022年8月进入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位，2024年1月又获「2023年全国示范性老年友好型社区」命名。[1]
