地名与沿革[edit]
地名的由来是此地原先偏远，要翻山越岭才到，又濒临海湾，过往船只常来避风；「澳」指海湾。[1] 民政部在1952年确认岭澳是抗日红色游击区。1987年7月核电工程动工前，旧村由四个自然村组成，即大围、新屋、北龙、长湾，共81户、常住316人；1991年全村迁到王母观音山下。[1]

社区管辖龙岭花园、岭澳西岭小区（岭澳新村和西岭老干小区）、岭澳花园三个小区，面积约0.41平方千米，总人口约5065人，户籍人口722人，另有4343名流动人口。[1][2] 三个小区都在2008年选出第一届业主委员会，龙岭小区的物业从当年起交给大鹏山庄物业管理分公司。[2] 2022年3月，岭澳社区获认定为「第一批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」。[1]
