名称由来[edit]
博雅地名网载，此地有姚、谭、李三姓聚居，三村的布局如象棋棋盘：谭姓后龙岭似“帅”，与李姓官爷洞前隔一条河，如楚河汉界，官爷洞前五座山像“卒”，帅护着这片家园，故名主田[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
主田在1949年设农会，其后依次办初级社（1954年）、高级社（1956年），1960年起称大队，1982年建乡，1988年称管理区，1998年改设村委会[1]。
基本情况[edit]
全村459户，劳动力866人；总面积1.5万亩，山林0.86万亩，耕地3523亩，分水田2500亩与旱地1023亩；有党员63人、村干部4人。村内以黄烟、水稻为主要作物，养殖业为特色产业，70%以上农户已迁入楼房居住[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2023年4月，主田村在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单之列；2026年3月，获认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」[1]。
