历史沿革[edit]
起点是1960年的深渡水瑶族大队（顿岗人民社区）；1977年入深渡水公社；1984年单立长梅瑶族乡，归深渡水区公所。1987年并为长梅管理区，属深渡水乡。1998年撤区后成立现在的村民委员会[1]。
文化[edit]
国家民委在2017年3月公布「第二批中国少数民族特色村寨」，梅一组在名单内[1]。省里的《广东省少数民族特色村镇保护与发展规划（2016—2020年）》也把该组写进了十三五期间的保护与发展项目目录[2]。到2020年12月，全村又入选省民族宗教委的「第一批广东省少数民族特色村寨」[1]。
据百度百科，长梅村离乡政府1公里，分6个村民小组，面积约12.16万亩；2010年有户籍人口1476人，其中瑶族占99.1%；森林覆盖率96%，村里的长梅水电站装机容量8000千瓦；境内将军栋县级自然保护区9.33万亩；主产水稻、玉米、水果，出蜂蜜和灵芝；长梅三组入选首批省少数民族特色村寨[3]。
荣誉[edit]
国家林业和草原局2019年12月公布的「第二批国家森林乡村」名单中有长梅村；此外还有「2023年广东省卫生村」（2024年3月）和「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」（2026年3月认定）[1]。
