历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，1951年此地为天菊乡；谭屋、书房、良塘、良口、下万、马子石六处另属下横岭乡。人民公社化的1958年，改叫横岭生产大队，隶红旗公社，之后依次转属始兴公社（1959）、顿岗公社（1960）和深渡水公社（1977）。1983年设横岭乡，由深渡水区公所管辖；1987年起为管理区，隶属深渡水乡。1998年冬撤区建村委会[1]。
荣誉[edit]
横岭村在2024年3月获「2023年广东省卫生村」之名[1]。
