高留的前身是1955年的留田初级社，1957年成高级社，1958年建高留大队。1983年称乡，1987年称管理区，1998年撤区建村，成立高留村村委会。[1]
著名人物[edit]
刘世周1912年5月出生在高留村的农家，1928年初中毕业；兄长刘世焱毕业于黄埔军校第二期。[2]
