历史沿革[edit]
胡屋在1951年设乡，1958年成为大队；1983年复为乡，1987年转为管理区，1998年定为村民委员会，2004年起归武江区管辖[1]。
经济[edit]
长期以农业为主，辅以畜牧家禽，种植水稻、花生、蔬菜、水果。改革开放以来村里借水资源之利，引进外资4500多万元，修起16座小水电站，合计装机7500千瓦[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，胡屋村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年5月，获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」[1]。
早脆梨[edit]
村里的早脆梨基地和田心果园共有40多亩梨树，品种是2014年广东省农业科学院果树研究所为武江引进的「粤引早脆梨」；2024年洪灾后，这里的梨在7月开园采摘，因村子偏远，销路是个难题。[2]
