公益村是广州市花都区花城街道下辖的行政村，位于迎宾大道旁、花都区政府附近，面积约1平方千米，下设10个村民小组，总人口2645人左右（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
早年村域分为四处聚落：回龙里（又称沙埒庄）、东城里（又称长岭尾）、长安里（又称长岭头）和茶园里（又称大坳庄）。[1] 1921年，徐茂均为宣传共产主义思想，把沙埒庄、大坳庄等合称「公益新村」，村名由此而来。[1] 1950年5月，花县第三区设公益乡政府，辖公益、茶园、大华、五华等村；1954年12月又成立公益乡人民政府，土地改革后公益、茶园两村合并为公益乡。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年11月，公益村获认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
