社区以鱼珠区片得名。居委会于2002年9月改称「鱼珠社区居民委员会」。[1]

辖区东面到黄埔火车站为止，西面是天河区东圃街，南靠珠江，北靠黄埔大道东；长约3.5千米，宽约0.7千米。[1]
