沙涌北社区在广州市白云区棠景街道，前身是沙涌北村，村址在沙涌河北段，故称沙涌北。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1955年设沙涌乡，下有沙涌北、沙涌南、棠夏三个自然村。人民公社成立后（1958年），沙涌北归瑶台大队，翌年同棠夏合组远景大队。其后先后属远景乡（1984年）、远景村委会（1986年）。2000年撤村建居，划入远景二居委会；2001年2月另分出远景三居委会，2002年6月称绿景居委会，至2004年4月定名沙涌北居委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2022年11月被广州市住房和城乡建设局认定为广州市2022年绿色社区。[1]
