祥岗社区位于广州市白云区棠景街道，是由祥岗村改制而来的社区，村名寓意先人盼望后代吉祥，又因村址靠近山岗而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据记述，宋朝时何嗣繁生有三子，其后人于清道光二十四年（1844年）迁到现址建村，取名祥岗。此后村归棠溪村委会管辖（1987年）；2000年设棠溪第三居委会，2002年易名祥岗居委会；福田、京华园两个居委会在2004年并入后，才有现在的祥岗社区。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2024年11月获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
