伍仙桥社区在广州市天河区兴华街道境内西部，东面与牛利岗社区相邻，南面是沙东街道，西面是白云山风景区，北面到白云区的梅花园，名称来自辖区里的伍仙桥（街名、地名中常写作五仙桥）。[1][2]
社区成立于1996年12月，总面积约0.8平方千米；据百度百科，辖区有户籍人口3606人，另有流动人口10177人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
居委会成立之初，办公用房只有6平方米，既无经费也无设备。1999年公路扩建，原来的办公房被拆掉，居委会迁到伍仙桥市场里一间紧挨鸡市的平房。2004年4月建成四层办公楼，建筑面积约280平方米。[1][2]
经济与社会[edit]
辖区内有广东工贸职业技术学院和省工程勘察院，驻军有75706部队等4支，设有红旗综合市场、伍仙桥市场，以及成龙中学等学校。[1] 2019年9月，社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2024年11月，获2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）的认定。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
辖区内保留云从龙夫妇墓和燕山姚氏墓地。云从龙夫妇墓东接广州大道北，是元代官员云从龙与夫人的合葬墓，始建于元元贞二年（1296年），为广州市文物保护单位，面积约3000平方米，现墓为1985年重修的圈椅形墓。[2][3] 燕山姚氏墓地始建于明宣德九年（1434年），清乾隆四十六年（1781年）重修。[2]
