历史沿革[edit]
社区一带在1953年成立了农林街的居委会，当时序号排在第二位；到人民公社化的1960年，这里是竹丝岗管理区，次年撤社后复旧。1964年，又分设出一个居委会。1986年，居委会定名竹丝岗；2002年起加上「社区」二字。2014年，邻近的新南路居委会并入，名称未变。[1]
荣誉[edit]
社区在2021年获评广州市绿色社区，在2025年获评广州市充分就业社区。[1]
