历史沿革[edit]
早在1953年，农林街就有了本社区一带的居委会。人民公社化的1960年，这里划作农林人民公社的一个管理区，一年后公社撤销，又回到原来的建制。此后建制几经分合：1964年，一部分地段另组居委会，取名中山二路；1986年再作拆分；1988年重新启用中山二路居委会的名称，一直到现在。[1]
荣誉[edit]
社区在2022年获评广州市绿色社区，2024年获评广州市充分就业社区。[1]
