升平村的村名出自古书所说的「民有三年之储曰升平」，1974年调整行政区划时取其寓意，希望辖区年年丰收、粮储丰足、生活安定，此后沿用。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

黄氏始祖孟揆于1575年从泷水县泗纶青桐村分支，到升平落户，是村内最早的村落。之后沈氏始祖仕林于1583年从泗纶镇路营村委迁来。今有16姓，黄姓占73%。[1][2]

1974年7月从泗纶公社分出都门公社，下设升平大队；1983年改为升平乡，隶都门区；1986年改设村民委员会，1989年设管理区，1999年复称村委会，属都门镇。2003年9月，都门并入泗纶镇，升平村委会设置不变。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

铜鼓塘村有黄氏大屋一座，建于清光绪年间，属古建筑中的宅第民居，列入第五批罗定市（县）级文物名录，保护范围为建筑本体及围墙。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，升平村进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
