分界镇位于广东省罗定市西南部，南面与信宜市接壤，北面和东西两侧分别与罗镜、都门、扶合、新榕相邻，距罗城约52公里[2]。镇境大部分是云开大山的山地，与信宜交界处的龙须顶海拔1372米，是全市最高的山峰[2]。罗定江的一条三级支流分界水穿过镇境，镇名取自镇中心的分界圩：圩心的石拱桥以东属罗定、以西属信宜[1][2]。

地理环境[edit]

全镇面积97.6平方千米，大部分地势为山地[2]。龙须顶位于与信宜交界处，海拔1372米[2]。分界水在南部冲出一片狭长的平地，镇内水资源与矿产资源都较丰富，矿产有铅、铜、锌、铁、锰和石英砂等[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

此地在晋末至南朝属龙乡县。隋开皇十八年（598年）起划归泷水县，明万历五年（1577年）起改属罗定州的二都[2]。

民国时期此地属罗定县第三区。中华人民共和国成立后，先归罗定县第一区（1950年），1958年改属罗镜公社；1961年6月自罗镜划出，另设分界公社。1983年8月公社撤销，改置分界区；1986年11月区制取消，建为分界镇[2]。

近年的荣誉有：2020年11月获「第六届全国文明村镇」称号；2022年1月被认定为「2021年度广东省卫生城镇」，同月又被确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范乡镇」的创建单位；2023年4月名列「2022年广东省乡村治理示范镇」创建单位名单[1]。

据2021年6月公布的第七次全国人口普查结果，全镇人口为1.93万人[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

金河村大坪脚坑口的坡地上有一处沤蓝制靛工场遗址，年代为明清。遗址现存沤蓝池7个、储水池1个，沤蓝池分两层排列，上层4个、下层3个，用石块砌筑、灰砂土夯实，每个约3.3×3.3米见方[1]。

金田村炉下村的铁炉遗迹于1978年被人发现，是一座依山坡天然坎窝而建的明清土炉。炉体上部已坍毁，周边残留铁渣和炭粒，留存的炉场宽3.3米、高1.2米。1994年6月8日，罗定市将它列为「罗定市第二批文物保护单位」[3]。

分界村先经围的一块唐代石刻，形似当地的铜鼓帽，乡人因此称之为铜鼓石。石头本地所产，没有铭文，露出地面的部分被雕成覆盘状莲花[1]。

金垌村石角村的垠头坑，有一处沤蓝制靛工场遗址，年代跨越明至民国。它是罗定市（县）级文物保护单位，编入第五批名录，保护范围以靛池本体为界[1]。
