新星村位于罗镜镇，约1857年落户建村，清代属罗定州三都镇南乡。2003年10月，原新榕镇撤并入罗镜镇，本村随之归隶罗镜镇。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

约1857年落户设村，清代属罗定州三都镇南乡。1910年至1931年隶属罗定县第四区万车团，1931年至1941年隶属第四区新榕乡，1942年至1950年隶属第一区新榕乡。1950年后归罗定县第七区，1958年2月至8月隶属新榕乡合作社，同年9月至1961年5月归连州公社辖。此后一度设生产大队，1962年并入新榕生产大队；1983年改为乡建制，1986年乡制撤销，改为新星村民委员会。1989年改设新星管理区，1993年划为革命老区。1998年9月，管理区改设新星村村民委员会，隶属新榕镇；2003年10月随新榕镇撤并，归隶罗镜镇，仍设新星村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，新星村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
