格木村的名字来自过去村子一带连片生长的格木树林。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
张、苏、叶、王、梁等姓迁入。公社化时组建格木生产大队；1983年改为格木乡政府，1987年称村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年又称村委会。[1]
民国时属上四乡下的保甲；1958年归罗旁人民公社，1983年归罗旁区公所，1987年由罗旁镇人民政府管辖，2003年9月划归建城镇人民政府。[1]
