河西村是河头镇下辖的行政村，村名取自聚落位于新兴江一条支流西岸的位置。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此处属云浮河涟乡，1950年改属新兴县第五区河西乡，1955年归天堂区河西乡。1958年11月，它成为东风公社的河西大队；1959年转入天堂公社，1961年又回到河头公社。1983年11月设河头区公所河西乡，1986年11月改为河头镇河西管理区，1999年改为河西村民委员会。[1]

2019年9月，河西村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之列。[1]

经济[edit]

河西村于2021年9月入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产业为肉桂。[1]
