西水村位于太平镇，村名取自共成河的主流「西水」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949至1950年间属新兴县三区，称东水乡；1952年改称西水乡，仍属三区；1955年归上沙区公所。[1] 1958年2月属共成乡，同年划入社圩公社，1959年4月改属共成公社，称西水生产大队。[1] 1983年设西水乡，归共成区；1986年11月改为共成镇西水管理区；1999年改称西水村民委员会；2004年划入太平镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，西水村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
