河村社区位于太平镇，村名取自流经此地的共成河。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年10月起，这里归新兴县第三区管辖，名为共成乡；1955年改属上沙区公所。[1] 1958年2月复称河村，同年11月设为共成公社下的河村大队。[1] 1983年设河村乡，隶属共成区；1989年改为共成镇下的河村管理区，1999年起称河村社区居民委员会。[1] 2003年划归太平镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

河村战斗广场是镇内的红色资源之一，与蕉山战斗旧址等一并被纳入乡村旅游线路。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年6月，河村社区被命名为第三批云浮市「民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
