六乡社区是新兴县水台镇的一个社区，前身为由六个自然村组成的六乡管理区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年后，此地先后归台安乡和稔村区管辖，1958年为稔村公社下的水台大队，1959年改属水台公社水台大队。[1]

1983年撤销人民公社后改设区公所，大队改称乡，生产队改称管理区。1989年，水台大队的名称改为六乡管理区，自然村则改作村民小组。1993年水台乡改为水台镇，此地仍为管理区。1999年起，六乡管理区的建制换为六乡社区居民委员会，一直延续到现在。[1]

六个自然村在解放战争时期曾是革命游击根据地。[1]

经济[edit]

2024年，经广东省文化和旅游厅公布，六乡社区获评「第四批广东省文化和旅游特色村」。[2]

社区借助金水台和悦天下两个星级景区，发展乡村旅游，并以「蒸酿粉葛」为本地特色美食。[2]
