坳背村位于石城镇东面，距镇政府约15公里，下辖7个自然村，是镇下辖的一个行政村。[1][2] 1983年改设坳背乡，1986年改为村委会，1999年又设坳背村委会，此后未变。[2]

坳背村位于石城镇东面，距镇政府约15公里，下辖坑尾、火燎营、地头墩、横坑等7个自然村。[1]

截至2014年，全村耕地面积250亩，主要产业为沙糖桔种植。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年起属茶洞乡；1958年划入茶洞人民公社，设坳背大队。1983年改设坳背乡，1986年改为村委会。[2]

此后1989年设坳背管理区，1999年又设村委会，至今未变。[2]
