城西村位于云城街道辖区内，名称取自村域在云城西面的位置。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

邓氏始祖于1716年自河口扶卓迁入此地，始建村落。1952年设城西乡，归附城乡；1954年组建城西高级农业生产合作社，1958年10月设城西生产大队，归附城人民公社。1983年恢复城西乡，1986年称城西村委会，1989年称城西管理区，1994年划归云城街道，1999年改为城西村民委员会，此后一直属云城街道。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2021年12月，村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2024年3月，又获「2023年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
