蟠龙社区位于云城街道的城区范围内，名称来自原居委会办公场所旁的蟠龙洞。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年这里设东安乡，之后并入云城乡。1958年10月改设城东生产大队，归东方红人民公社管辖；1983年又称城东乡。[1]

1986年改为城东村委会，隶属云城镇；1989年改称城东管理区；1994年划归云城街道；1999年再改为城东村委会；2005年改称蟠龙社区居民委员会，此后一直属云城街道。[1]

2019年9月，社区上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
