历史沿革[edit]
约350年前，由福建迁来的移民创村。村前盛产青柑，村名由此而来。[1]
1999年改设村委会，此名沿用至今。在此之前，1986年由柑园乡政府改为柑园管理区；1983年至1986年为柑园乡政府，1958年至1983年间是柑园生产大队，1949年至1957年则称柑园乡。[1]
2006年，柑园村被广东省环保局评为「生态示范村」。[1]
村属革命老区。[1]
地理环境[edit]
建筑多为土木结构平房，部分为混凝土结构楼房。安前公路从村西经过。[1]
