村内由4个自然村组成。近年来，村里致力于打造商贸新村，建有杉木市场，市场旁有临街商住楼。[1]

2026年1月，河头村获评广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子建村后，先后为河头联村与河头乡，1958年后为农业社与大队，1984年复设乡，1987年为管理区，1999年改为河头村委会，沿用至今。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

里湖关帝庙在村内，是明代天启年间的古建筑，属县级文物。[2]
