山前村位于广太镇西部，田地与镇区相连，村道与省道S236线相接。村民收入以种植青果苗木、小手工业和外出务工为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期，该村归普宁第一区与第八区管辖。其后1953年改隶第八区，名和五乡；1957年改属广太乡，名和五大队；1958年入南溪公社。1961年划入另一大队，1967年分出单独设大队，称山前大队。1974年归广太公社，1984年设山前乡，1986年改为山前村委会，1990年称山前管理区，1999年再改为山前村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村庄列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
