西林村是广东省普宁市赤岗镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东北部，由7个自然村组成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在1950年7月归普宁县第一区管辖；次年9月改隶第八区，改称西林村。1953年改称西林乡，1957年2月归赤岗乡，设为西林小乡。[1]

1958年9月，村改归洪阳公社，那时叫西林大队。1961年划入四联公社，1962年11月又回洪阳，1965年12月转赤岗公社。1983年改属赤岗区，称西林乡。[1]

1987年改为西林村委会，隶属赤岗镇；1990年为管理区；1999年再定名西林村委会，沿用至今。[1]

产业[edit]

村民以农业为主，种植水稻和甘蔗。村内只有一家小工厂，另有几家珠绣厂。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，西林村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
