历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据博雅地名网：村子建在一条狭长的山埔（山丘）上，故名长埔。[1]
明嘉靖年间（1522～1566），杨氏族人迁来此地定居。[1]
2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予长埔村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
2009年底，全村总人口1075人。耕地703亩，其中水田257亩、山地3000亩。[1]
2020年12月，惠来县人民政府网报道称，全村共有292户、1332人。荔枝和菠萝种植是村里的主要产业，村民家庭收入以种植业和外出务工为主。[2]
