长围村是东港镇的行政村，地处丘陵，离镇区约6公里。村南靠鳌江河，村前有葵鳌公路通行。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村址旧时长着成片四季常青的植物，当地称劳投刺，即野菠萝。村名原为劳投围，其后雅称长青围，自1980年起简称长围。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此村属葵潭区新湖乡，1958年改属鳌江公社。1973年东港与鳌江拆社、东港设公社后，本村并入一个大队；1976年自成一个长青围大队，1980年起称长围大队。[2]

1983年撤大队，改设长围乡政府；1986年改为长围村委会；1989年设长围管理区；1999年又定为长围村委会，沿用至今。[2]
