新风村位于惠来县惠城镇山区西北面，是一个新建的移民村，也是革命老区村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

新村建成后，惠来县人民政府以“四新”（新风格、新风貌、新风尚、新风俗）之意为村命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年因建设石榴潭水库，1974年水库堤位加高，库区内一部分村民68户336人迁至此地，重建新村。[2]

1975年1月并入一个大队；1979年称新风大队；1983年区乡制改革后设新风乡政府，1986年改称新风管区，1999年起称新风村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，新风村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」称号。[1]
