坪上镇是广东省揭阳市揭西县下辖的镇，在县境南部，地处榕江上游，榕江南河、石内河与龙潭河在镇境汇合，距县城7.5千米。全镇下辖1个社区和19个行政村，镇政府驻坪上村。[1][9] 农业以青梅、蔬菜和番薯为主，石内片区的青梅林连片成规模。2025年，坪上镇被认定为“百千万工程”第二批典型镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

镇政府的介绍称，坪上之名出自明朝：明成化十七年（1481年），黄氏先祖从巾山洞迁居石肚溪边的田洋上面，那里长满苏茅，于是搭屋开基，并把村名定为“坪上”。镇名则以坪上圩为名。[3][7]

明清时期，此地隶属揭阳县的霖田都。新中国成立初，它是揭阳县河婆区下属的一个乡，1950年划归河江区，1958年并入河婆人民公社。1961年1月，坪上人民公社成立；1983年改设坪上区；1986年改设坪上镇。[3][7]

地理环境[edit]

全镇土地面积93.33平方千米。地势南高北低，石内河发源于南河，自西南流向东北，落差大，水力资源丰富。小水电曾是镇里的重要支柱产业，境内有莲花一级、莲花二级、石内、单竹坑、南坑等电站。[1][8]

人口方面，据2026年5月的镇概况，全镇常住人口2.21万人，户籍则为4.15万人；2025年6月的镇概况则为户籍4.28万人、常住2.3万人。第七次全国人口普查后，博雅地名网载其人口为2.59万人。[1][2][7]

经济[edit]

青梅是全镇的主要经济作物。石内片区种植最为集中，覆盖潭角、五星、石峡、樟树下、红旗5个行政村。据2025年12月镇政府的介绍，全镇青梅种植面积超过1万亩，每年产出1000多万斤，产值超过1000万元。[3]

全镇蔬菜种植面积约3600亩。湖光村的供港蔬菜基地始于2019年的「一村一品」项目，获得香港渔农署认证的「信誉农场」称号。[3]

员西村的丰农合作社以番薯、水稻轮耕为主业，其「一点红」番薯在2021年入选「粤字号」农业品牌目录。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

石内河漂流位于坪上镇石内路，河道全长约4.5公里，游客乘双人充气船顺流而下，历时约2小时。据百度百科，河内分布的冰臼群由韩同林教授发现。[10]

石肚冰臼位于石肚溪，由地质学家韩同林考察时发现，石肚溪发现的冰臼群至少有6处。[7]

万梅谷以石内片区的青梅林为主体。据2026年的镇政府简介，种植面积近10000亩，带动片区5个村约8000人增收。2025年1月的介绍则称石内河两岸梅树一万五千多亩，种植青梅已有200多年的历史。[4][5]

坪红公路串连五星、石峡、樟树下、潭角、红旗5个村，全长约12.87公里，属于揭西县选定的六条重点旅游线路之一。万梅谷连续九年举办梅花文化活动，每年接待游客约30万人次。[4]

千年榄树公园因园内一棵千年榄树得名，园中修建风景长廊，形成一系列打卡点。[6]

赤岭埔遗址现存面积约1万平方米。1940年至2003年间，村民与广东省文物考古研究所陆续采集到石器、陶器、原始瓷器和铜器：陶器和原始瓷器共22件，年代约为春秋晚期至战国早期；铜斧、铜矛、铜剑10件，年代约为战国晚期至秦汉。[3]

1927年8月，古大存带领农军驻进上江坑村庆云楼，并与当地革命青年联络，建立游击根据地。庆云楼现为古大存革命活动旧址。[3]

荣誉[edit]

坪上镇曾获「广东省卫生乡镇」、「2022年广东省乡村治理示范镇」、「揭阳市文明镇」等称号。博雅地名网载，2024年3月坪上镇被命名为「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」。[1][7]

著名人物[edit]

蔡孝（清），尖田村人，幼年家贫，以石匠、泥水匠为业。[7]

蔡达三（1888—1955年），古榕村人，古榕村后称榕树寮，今为新榕村。1906年赴日本早稻田大学攻读药理学，在日期间结识柳亚子，经其介绍加入同盟会。[7][11]

蔡绍歧（1890～1962年），榕树寮人（今新榕村）。少时在本村读私塾，后入汕头同文学校；1908年以官费生身份赴日本留学，入早稻田大学预科，后改学矿冶工程。[7][11]

黄子松（1881～1975年），连城村人，成年后到马来西亚柔佛州士乃埠开店经商。1937年抗战初期，他站出来号召海外华侨。[7]
