华美村地处揭阳东部，地理位置偏僻。博雅地名网载（未注明年份），全村约3400人、750多户，耕地约1300亩，山坡面积逾2000亩。[1][2]
革命旧迹[edit]
镇政府网站的一篇文章提到，走进华美村可以缅怀革命战争年代的共产国际战士、上莆区委书记周鲁；华美山上的「红军洞」则曾发生过激烈的战斗。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2024年3月，华美社区获评「2023年广东省卫生村」；2019年9月，华美社区上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
