大围村位于梅云街道中心地带，广东深展实业有限公司为村中的龙头企业。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年1月，村中成立农业高级合作社，隶属安乐乡；同年12月改为生产队，归云光管区。[1]

1959年4月起属云光生产大队，1961年并入梅云公社的梅吉大队。[1]其后，1971年改属赤水大队，1979年赤水拆分，村子另立大围大队。[1]1983年归梅云区梅畔乡管辖，1986年设大围村委会，归梅云街道。[1]

经济[edit]

村中有耕地364亩，社区内有四家较大规模的工业企业（博雅地名网所载，年份未注）。[1]人均可支配收入5199元，2008年村社工农业总收入1923万元，其中工业产值1300万元。[1]

文化[edit]

村中建有老人活动中心，创办了文化室（图书馆），并成立了基层工会。[1]2009年，区委、区政府把先进基层党组织的称号授予村党支部，并将村子定为建设社会主义新农村示范点。[1]

2022年1月，村子经广东省乡村振兴局确定，成为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2022年10月，大围村列入淘宝村名单；广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予大围村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
