人口民族[edit]
村域面积约2平方公里，居民6330人、1300户，设5个经联社。[1]
经济[edit]
2008年，全村工农业生产总值达5亿多元，人均纯收入5000多元。村里建有古溪综合市场、西岭商贸街，商住楼700多间；另有占地200亩的工业小区，经营废铁轧钢。[1]
文化[edit]
村里出资整顿村容，修起小公园与西岐人工湿地污水处理示范点，另有西岐文化中心。村中培养了一支100多人的西岐少年锣鼓队。此外，村子还曾获广东省卫生村与广东省生态示范村称号。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年为永北乡，属十五区；1954年拆乡改称西岐乡，属安乐区；1956年撤区并乡，划入古溪乡；1962年拆社，改为西岐大队，属仙桥公社；1983年公社改为区公所，村称西岐乡；1986年设西岐村委会，此后属仙桥街道，至今沿用。[1]
2005年10月，西岐村进入第一届全国文明村镇的名单。2012年5月，村子被收入第三批广东省历史文化名镇名村名录。2013年8月，西岐村进入第二批中国传统村落的名录。[1][2][3]
2022年1月，西岐村经广东省乡村振兴局认定，成为2021年「广东省乡村治理示范村」的创建单位。2023年11月，入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。2023年12月，揭阳市把西岐村列为2023年市级森林乡村。2024年4月，西岐村进入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[1]
