西林村地处榕城区东部，与揭阳经济开发试验区相邻，属榕东街道管辖。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1993年，西林析出，成立西林村委会，隶属榕东街道。[1]

经济[edit]

村域面积约650亩，户数350户，人口1611人（年份未注明）。2008年工业总产值为143万元，居民人均年收入为4790元。[1]

村里以玩具微电机、五金制品为主要行业，也种植香蕉。进贤门大道南面已建成集商贸与居住于一体的商贸城，村南规划建设龙尾工业园。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，西林村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2021年10月和2022年10月，西林村两次列入淘宝村名单。西林村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
