中社村是文祠镇下辖的行政村，辖14个自然村，寨下、樟培、石门、西寮、柴桥等都在其中。[1]

村史[edit]

清顺治十八年（1661年），温一世自山西迁入，在寨下开基立村。此后村中还有翁、巫、钟、张、谢、曾、刘、廖、江等姓先后迁居。1958年公社化后设中社大队，1999年起改设村民委员会。[1]

姓氏分布[edit]

翁姓居樟培与西寮，曾姓居长背山与苏山，廖姓在上珂，江姓在上江与下江，巫姓在石门，谢姓在柴桥。钟、张二姓居山下，今山下仅存一户。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
