楠木村是文祠镇下辖的行政村，村名因四周多楠木而来。1956年起一度称张巫村。[1]

村史[edit]

明万历十二年（1584年）立村，张派元自登荣都竹园来此。村内旧时有十个姓氏，今仅剩张、巫两姓。1958年公社化时属北社大队，1973年以村名设楠木大队，1999年起改设村民委员会。[1]

产业与荣誉[edit]

山地2730亩，耕地196亩，农业以橄榄为主。2005年统计，本村为340人、85户。[1]

2019年9月，本村进入2018年度省民主法治示范村创建名单。广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇名单中，本村于2026年3月列名其中。[1]
