金光村是潮安区归湖镇下辖的行政村，位于镇驻地东南约2.5华里处。它东南面与凤东村接壤，西面与金丰村为邻，北面与狮峰村交界。全村方圆1.92平方公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1974年，金光自成「金光大队」；1999年改称金光村民委员会，名称沿用至今。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

博雅地名网称，金光村是南宋礼部尚书王大宝的出生地，村中有古建筑王氏家庙。其他来源则把王大宝的故里系于汤头村（今归湖镇内），两说并存。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2026年3月，本村经认定成为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。本村在2022年1月被列为2021年广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位，由省里的乡村振兴部门确定。本村在2019年12月进入第一批国家森林乡村之列；在2018年的「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单中，本村于2019年9月入列。[1]
