沟头村为潮安区凤塘镇所辖的行政村，为片村，含沟头、白莲湖和玉畔三个自然村。村子位于镇政府驻地西南约3.3千米处。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于鸡腱山山尾，六条沟渠之首，因此得名沟头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化时转为大队；1962年与玉窖分拆，合并英凤村组成英沟大队；1965年再度分拆，以主村命名为沟头大队。1999年起改设沟头村民委员会，至今仍用此名。[1]

产业[edit]

村民种植水稻和甘薯，工业有瓷厂，采石、打石是传统行业。白莲湖出产的山葡萄属中草药类特产。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年8月，沟头村的山葡萄项目入选首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，该名单由省农业农村厅发布。2021年12月，村获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉。[1]
