大布村位于三乡镇北面，面积约6.7平方千米，下辖6个村民小组，户籍人口约3359人，流动人口接近2万人。广珠公路、城桂公路和沙坦公路贯穿全村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

大布村是中山抗日根据地之一。抗战中期，大布小学曾是中山县本部委员会的旧址。平湖队是原广东省主席吴铁城的故乡。[2][3]

经济[edit]

1995年起，村委会在广珠公路边建起大布工业区，在城桂公路边建起城桂工业区，两处合计占地1500多亩。至2012年底，工业区内已有80多家企业，工业年产值超过10亿元。[2]

文化[edit]

村里建有农家书屋和灯光球场，组建了篮球队和妇女健身队。村级刊物《大布通讯》也在出版。[2]
