城南社区是广东省中山市南区街道下辖的社区，位于街道最北端，属主城区。[1]

社区于2014年1月组建，承接原环城社区与城南社区的管辖范围。原城南社区的前身是1998年自环城居委会北部划出设立的城南居委会。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年，环城居委会北部划出，设立城南居委会。概况另有一说：社区1999年4月始建，2002年7月由市民政局重新定名为南区城南社区居民委员会，两说的起始年份不同。[1][2]

2014年1月，依中府办函〔2013〕368号的复函所示，新成立城南社区，原环城社区撤销，两个社区的范围并入其中。[2]

地理与辖区[edit]

原城南社区位于南区的最北端，辖区面积约4.8平方公里，约占原南区总面积的十分之一。岐关西路、外环路与城南路穿越辖区，东面有中山名树园生态公园。[2]

地名由来[edit]

社区地处中山市城区的南部，因此得名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，社区被认定为「2021年度中山市绿色社区」。[1]
