东明社区是广东省中山市石岐街道下辖的社区，因东明花园位于辖区内而得名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1996年，东明与东盛两个居委会分设，归北区管辖；2002年后划入石岐区。自2003年起定名为东明居委会，沿用至今。东盛居委会在2004年11月并入其中。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2001年和2003年，社区先后被广东省与中山市评为文明社区。2002年1月，它被中央文明办、国家民政部确定为「全国创建文明社区示范点」。[1]
