一村位于莞城西北约11千米处，东面与中堂村相邻，中麻公路横贯村内的工业区，是中堂镇中心区商贸和第三产业较兴旺的村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网称，南宋隆兴元年（1163年），福建莆田人陈哲庵因任官来到东莞，在村北角定居下来。该站原文把「孝宗」写作「考宗」，年份与隆兴年号相符。[1]

一村先称一大队（1958年），此后成为一村管理区（1987年），1999年方有一村村委会的名称。[1]

人口与荣誉[edit]

2006年的数字显示，全村面积0.7平方千米，辖仁寿坊、洪门坊、集桥坊、友仁坊4个村民小组，外来人口3000多人，户籍人口1695人。博雅地名网称该村为东莞市文明村和革命老区。[1]

2021年10月和2022年10月，一村村两次上榜淘宝村名单。[1]
